Special Classes and Workshops for the Spring and Summer 2008
- Introduction to Yoga
A Class for Beginners
Wednesday evenings, April 2 - May 7 No Wednesday classes May 21 and May 28.
New Wednesday series:

Cost per 6 week series: $75
This is a 6 week series especially for students wanting to start yoga and learn beginning principles and poses.

A Teachers Class
Becoming an Effective Teacher Saturday May 10 4:15 - 6:15 pm
After the Level IV class
Cost $35 for Teachers class only $65 for both Level IV class and teachers class
This is a teacher class and forum to share and learn from each other while reflecting on individual issues and skills and
teaching techniques. Classes will vary and take shape from individual needs and interests, and from personal assignments and study.
To attend, a teacher must be attending a weekly class of Lou's that will prepare and allow the student to be observed,
guided and given feedback.

Level IV Classes:
Level IV class will meet on:
Saturday May 10, 2 - 4 pm
Sunday June 22, 2 - 4 pm
Sunday July, 20 - 4 pm
Sunday August 17, 2 - 4 pm
For intermediate students and teachers who want to deepen and
explore more advanced poses. Cost $30.00 per class.

Prenatal Classes:
If you are a new student, call the individual teacher for placement in an appropriate class.
- Restorative
Classes: Focusing
on restorative poses and breathing (pranayama). Six months
of attending yoga class required to participate.
- 1st
Tuesday of each month, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
- 2nd
Thursday of each month, 7:00 to 8:25 a.m.
- 3rd
Tuesday of each month, 5 to 6:30 p.m.
- 4th
Friday of each month, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Teacher Training & Teacher Study Classes Will Resume in the Fall
Teacher training for students and teachers wanting more depth of study and
individual guidance in their practice and teaching. The Iyengar philosophy of teacher training includes mentoring, guidance in weekly classes, development of a strong
personal practice, and formal teacher training events. Certification requires a minimum of three years Iyengar teaching experience as well as the passing of a national three-part teacher evaluation.
